The Summer tends to offer some respite from the business of life since the Christmas holidays more people are on holiday, Parliament closes down, transactions slow down it would be very easy to take your foot off the gas and enjoy the sunshine.
Alternatively, you could use the downtime to think about your career! If you have been feeling discontented for a little while, use this time to dust off the CV and really think about where your career is going. Are you feeling under-appreciated, underpaid or just a bit stale? It may be time to think about a new challenge to kickstart your career.
Despite the possibility of the UK exiting the European Union (and the economic turmoil even the uncertainty has brought), the market is still booming and it is now an excellent time to be looking for new roles, particularly in real estate, corporate, banking, construction and commercial where there are opportunities aplenty and salaries have risen greatly! Niche areas such as pensions, tax, regulatory and planning are also reasonably buoyant at the moment.
Even quieter areas of recent times, such as employment and real estate litigation, have even seen multiple jobs!!
