Court of Protection Fee Earner required for new role within established and highly-regarded Manchester based firm’s Private Client team.
THE FIRM:
Highly-regarded full-service commercial law firm.
Private Client team has been recognised with many awards and accolades and enjoys a brilliant reputation for quality of work and as a great place to work.
Role to be based in Manchester
THE ROLE:
The team are multi-disciplinary and are looking to appoint someone with significant experience of Court of Protection matters.
The Court of Protection (CoP) team has grown rapidly over the past couple of years and they now need to recruit an experienced CoP Solicitor (either Grade A or B) to help manage existing deputyships, service relationships with various Local Authorities and to help further develop the team.
You will be running CoP matters independently, managing own caseload of Court of Protection matters including Deputyships, applications for lifetime gifting/IHT planning, applications for statutory wills and expert witness reports for deputyship costs in litigation matters. You will also supervise and help develop skills of junior colleagues.
THE CANDIDATE:
Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive, likely with a minimum of 4PQE, with a keen interest and demonstrable experience in all areas of Court of Protection matters.
Preferably you will be fully STEP qualified, or part qualified and also a member of SFE.
No following required but given they are looking for an experienced lawyer it’s envisaged you will have an existing network of contacts. For more senior applicants a caseload of personal Deputyships which you could bring with you would be advantageous.
This is a great opportunity to join a truly collegiate team and firm with a great culture and reputation. Competitive remuneration package on offer.
