CapeClarke was proud to have worked with the Leeds JLD to host yet another successful legal careers talk focused on the Leeds market, on Wednesday 18 November 2020. A good number of Leeds junior lawyers (from paralegals through to solicitors with 5 years PQE) joined us from the comfort (and safety) of their homes, with the event taking place over Zoom.
The event focused on what has been a hugely disruptive year, with discussions centred around firm and market responses, areas of positivity and what the future might look like in 2021. We also provided some insight into which areas are beginning to show signs of recovery, as well as an in-depth review of the last eight months (from a legal recruitment perspective).
We also provided our early, general thoughts on how this year will likely affect the NQ process next year, alongside our advice on ways for candidates to prepare as best they can for a smooth transition to qualification in 2021. This advice will be provided in greater detail in February when we host our annual Qualification talks, aimed at trainee solicitors qualifying in 2021.
