Terry Cape
Director
Terry is a Director and co-founder of CapeClarke, based in our Leeds office.
Terry attained a First Class exempting law degree from Northumbria University before training at Addleshaw Goddard LLP in Leeds. He qualified as a real estate lawyer and remained there for two years after qualification.
Following a year travelling around the world, Terry moved into legal recruitment, successfully establishing the Leeds office for a regional legal recruiter. In 2011, Terry set up CapeClarke with Chris Clarke.
Terry specialises in the recruitment of legal professionals from paralegals through to partners in law firms ranging from small regional partnerships to international law firms.
Outside of work, Terry is a bit of a film buff and (for his sins) an avid Newcastle United and Carolina Panthers fan, travelling every year to the States to catch a game. His main passion, however, is travelling. He has travelled extensively around Southern and East Africa, South East Asia, South America, Japan and India and continues to knock destinations off his wish-list of places to visit, with highlights including gorilla treks in Rwanda and Uganda, exploring the Deep South of the United States and enjoying the delights of beautiful Western Canada.
However, most of his spare time is now focused on his amazing wife, Elizabeth, and his beautiful daughter, Charlotte, who arrived in March 2023.
